About Epiphenie
Epiphenie started in 2010 as a repository for technical information gathered by the author while working on website design and development. You can find articles from 2010-2011 in the Epiphenie Archive. Articles that were created from 2012-present day are technical in nature, but intended for a general audience. If we’ve solved an organizational or technical challenge, we share that information.Get Cooking Series

Day 2 & 3: Paris
Next: Venice We arrived in Paris at 08:15. We took an Uber from the CDG airport to our hotel near the Louvre. It was hard to connect with our driver and the Uber was more expensive than the regulated taxis. I’d recommend taking a taxi from the airport. Architecture at the back of the Louvre. Hotel near the Louvre with beautiful architecture. Bridge over the Seine. Notre Dame Cathedral about a month after the...

Migrate from Evernote to OneNote
As Evernote’s prices continue to rise, you might consider migrating all of your notes to a new platform. Previously, Epiphenie has recommended Evernote as a note-taking tool of choice. However, the price of Evernote has increased 55% in two years, going from $45 in 2016, to $60 in 2017, and now to $70 in 2018. To learn more about the price increases, see Changes to Evernote’s Pricing Plans. Epiphenie can no longer recommend this...

Tested: Meal Kit from Amazon
I tried a meal kit from Amazon, and here’s what happened. (Sorry for the click-bait intro.) It’s been about five years since the first meal kit service started here in the U.S. As a picky eater, each time a new service joined the market, I investigated. At least initially, they were all subscription-based services with a limited pre-planned menu. They’re still subscription services, but there are more services and those services have more options....
